Following the tradition started in 2014, the first event of this academic year, organized by SXCSC in association with the Department of Sports was Xavier's Premier League: Football. It was an intra-college 5 a side football tournament played by 16 teams including 2 teams from St. Xavier's Collegiate School, one SXC Staff Team, One from the Alumni Association and one from East Bengal Club. The colourful jerseys of the teams added to the ambience and festivity. The field and corridors were crowded with fans cheering for their teams with exuberance amidst the heavy rains.
Inspired by the renowned Leonardo Da Vinci, who has not only contributed to art but also to science, design, environment, anatomy and fiction, the Students' Council organized its second event of the term, Vincion 1.0- a one of a kind art festival organised for the first time in our campus. Celebrating art, our campus was decorated with origami, kites and other artwork made by hand by the students. Since art is something hidden in every individual but they do not get a platform to express it except for on the last page of their notebooks, in Vincionwe placed Canvases all over the campus and the field for any student, teacher or guest to show their prowess in art along with the participants in the various events.
