NIHIL ULTRA: Nothing Beyond

Sports

Sports Working Committee 2015-16

Another greatly satisfying year, action packed with very little breathing space between College Team practices and matches, Inter-Department tournaments and other extension activities. The Sports Department worked towards preparing formidable teams for prestigious Inter College tournaments. A packed schedule of Inter Department and SXC Open tournaments saw large participation from students of all Departmnets including SXC Raghabpur Campus and St. Xavier's University, Rajarhat.

Running a year-long programme of Sports in the College requires planning and execution which our students have now become proficient in. The success of all our events is due to the hard work put in by Sports Secretaries Arjun Ghose and Vrinda Todi supported by Roland Ryan, Liam Bain, Abhyuday Kajaria, Rhea Rao, Aneequel Abedin, Pranay Varma, Saad Sheikh, Joshua Benjamin, Aadya Agarwal, Vedika Bothra, Kritika Agarwal and many others. We would like to place on record our great appreciation to our following Coaches, who have worked hard and been an inspiration for the outstanding performances of our Teams :

  • Women's Basketball - Sangeeta Chatterjee

  • Men's Basketball - Suhash Bhattacharjee and Puneet Singhania

  • Men's Cricket - Sandeep Mundra and Joyjit Basu

  • Men's Football -Shatadru Lawrence Dutt.
