Objectives
To promote and provide opportunities, to facilitate collaborations, networking with international universities/institute/organizations for promotion, advancement and sharing of academic and research knowledge and activities for development of mankind.
St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, over a period of years has built up a very strong national and international fraternity of alumni members, as well as a distinctive reputation of national and international understanding. 161 years is, therefore being celebrated by building up partnership programmes with international Colleges and universities. This is in keeping with the recent trend of most national educational institutions and universities of repute to enter into partnership or collaboration with parallel international institutes and universities.
Departmental Activities
6 Students from Macquarie University, Australia are visiting St. Xavier’s College to attend a course on Ethnology of India: Art and Culture, Gender, Politics, and Economics, during the week 4th – 10thDecember, 2022 The group is being led by Dr. Andrew Alter, Assoc.Prof., Music Studies, Dept. of Media, Communications, Creative Arts, Language and Literature at Macquarie University.
Rev. Fr. Jeyaraj Veluswamy, SJ, Rector attended an International Congress hosted by the College of Media Studies and Culture, Torun, Poland(our MOU partner) on‘Catholics and War and Peace’. The Congress took place onNovember 25 and 26, 2022. The visit was sponsored under the Erasmus+ programme of theEuropean Commission.
