Khel 7, the flagship event of St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata, organised by SXCNCC, 6 Coy 20 Bengal Battalion NCC, is one of the biggest Inter - Battalion sports event organised all over the city, held on 25th February and 3rd March 2024. With 14 events, 22 teams and over 700+ cadets participating from various colleges and battalions of Army, Naval and Air Force Wing, one can imagine the level of talent and dedication displayed by the cadets. The range of sports events, including Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Kho-Kho, Long Jump, Shot Put, Tug Of War, had made it a thrilling and action-packed competition.
"Defend till the end" as the tagline for KHEL 7, perfectly captures the spirit of relentless determination and unwavering commitment displayed by the cadets. The tagline inspires the cadets to defend their goals, push their limits, and emerge as true champions. It's a powerful reminder that victory comes to those who never give up.
The inauguration ceremony began with all the unit seniors coming together, soaring the NCC coloured balloons high in the sky, carrying the spirit of unity and discipline. With commitment, all the cadets took the pledge to play the events with sheer honesty and sportsmanship spirit. It also witnessed the launch of the first ever annual publication of NCC, The Red Hackle Edition 1: 2024.
St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata, defended till the end and, lifted the Winners trophy with the highest number of wins, followed by the SK College as the Runners-Up. The cadets put on an impressive display of their skills and made their institutions proud.
The closing ceremony was graced by the honourable presence of Group Commander, Sameer Choudhary, Father Rector, Principal & Vice Principals of the college and ANO Major Dr. Atish Prasad Mondal. The esteemed dignitaries wished well for the unit and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to NCC, always standing tall for their institutions in every possible way.
