Programme Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

This pathway explores animation as a form of storytelling and filmmaking, from 2D and stop-motion to advanced 3D pipelines and VFX. Students gain mastery over pre-production, modelling, rigging, lighting, rendering, simulation, and compositing, while also engaging with theory and history.

Career Pathways:
Graduates can pursue careers as:

  • Pre-production artists: Concept developers, storyboard artists, 2D background designers.
  • 3D specialists: Modellers, riggers, animators, texture & lighting artists, render artists.
  • VFX professionals: Simulation, motion-capture, and compositing artists.
  • Academia & Research: Scholars in animation studies and practice.
  • Independent Creators: Filmmakers, content producers, and digital storytellers.

Students also gain exposure to real-time workflows, procedural animation, and XR storytelling, preparing them for roles in both studios and emerging media industries.

This pathway addresses the evolving world of design, covering print, digital, spatial, and interactive practices. Students work across graphic design, typography, brand identity, publication, and motion design, while also exploring UI/UX, inclusive design, and sustainable approaches.

Career Pathways:
Graduates can pursue careers as:

  • Communication Designers: Graphic designers, campaign creators, brand consultants.
  • Digital Specialists: UI/UX designers, visual merchandisers, motion designers.
  • Independent Creatives: Illustrators, concept artists, book/comics designers, curators.
  • Applied Design Professionals: Pavilion designers, scenographers, and consultants for NGOs, government, and cultural organisations.
  • Research & Academia: Scholars in design theory, culture, and innovation.

The programme also encourages students to study design’s impact on society, environment, folk traditions, and social justice, widening their professional scope into emerging and socially engaged design practices.

This pathway integrates film theory, history, and criticism with hands-on production training. Students learn screenwriting, cinematography, editing, sound design, and direction, while also studying cinema’s cultural and aesthetic dimensions.

  • Production & Direction: Directors, assistant directors, production designers, art directors.
  • Technical Specialists: Cinematographers, editors, sound designers, VFX artists.
  • Writing & Development: Screenwriters, researchers, dialogue writers, concept developers.
  • Allied Film Fields: Film archivists, festival programmers, critics, curators, and preservationists.
  • Academia & Research: Scholars of cinema and visual culture.

The course prepares students for work in fiction, documentary, advertising, streaming/OTT, and transmedia storytelling, while also encouraging sustainable and ethical approaches to filmmaking.
