Programme Specific Outcomes
At the Post Graduate Level, The Physics department offers M.Sc. course in physics. Now the department also has Ph.D. intakes. In the M.Sc. course two specializations are offered:
- Astroparticle Physics
- Condensed matter Physics.
Apart from basic and advanced courses the students are exposed to computing tools and numerical programming using Octave and Matlab as well as symbolic algebra through Maxima and tools for analysis of nonlinear systems. They also learn the technique of designing experiments through computer interfacing.
As a part of their special papers, students are exposed to DFT techniques (Condensed matter Physics) and Computational Astrophysics as a part of the curriculum
