  • Students to have a fair understanding on the principles and practices of news media operation
  • Students to develop an analytical thinking on the ethical and legal aspects of news coverage and media operation in India
  • Students to develop fair understanding on the presence, operation and ethical issues of citizen journalism and media.
  • Students will be able to identify the role of news media in influencing socio-politico-economic developments.
  • Students will be able to generate news copies for both Electronic and Print media.

 

Multidisciplinary course in Journalism: 'News and Society Building'

This course explores the mutual influence and exchanges between News and society. It explores how News contributes to the shaping of a society. 

This course is provided to BA General students in Semester I and other faculty students in Semester II

Minor Course in Journalism: The Course starts from Semester V and runs upto Semester VII comprising a total of four papers in the NEP. Students from disciplines of Arts and Science can opt for this course. This course comprises studies related to Print, Electronic and Digital news generation.
