JRF Position under ANRF-ARG Funded Project
A walk-in-Interview will be held in the Post Graduate and Research Department of Biotechnology, St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Kolkata on 20th May, 2026 (Wednesday), for the recruitment of one Junior Research Fellow under the project entitled “Elucidating yet unknown mechanism behind protagonist act of the GTPase, FlhF for flagellar synthesis of Vibrio cholerae by probable modulation of the TCS FlrB-FlrC” under Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF-ARG), Government of India, under the supervision of Dr. Jhimli Dasgupta (Principal Investigator), Post Graduate and Research Department of Biotechnology, St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Kolkata, as per details below:

Junior Research Fellow | Essential qualification: M.Sc./M.Tech in Biotechnology or any stream of Life sciences, and qualified in CSIR/UGC/DBT NET or GATE or other equivalent national level exam. Desirable: Knowledge and hands on experience in RDT techniques and/or protein chemistry. | 30 years [Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD maximum up to 5 years].
| 37000 + HRA (For 1st and 2nd years), and Rs. 42,000 + 30% HRA (For 3rd year, provided the performance is satisfactory for promotion from JRF to SRF).

Tenure of Fellowship: ~36 months
